SKYWARN Recognition Day, Dec. 6, 2003 -- Another great success!
 

The Fort Worth National Weather Service office participated in its fourth Skywarn Recognition Day.  With the help of 33 operators, several stations were kept going the full 24 hours, including HF phone, PSK-31, APRS, local FM repeaters and IRLP/Echolink.

A total of 608 QSOs were made by WX5FWD.  A copy of the log file is located at HERE   If you worked WX5FWD, please check that your call has been entered correctly and notify kr1zan@arrl.net if you find any errors.

WX5FWD used its new HF station which was implemented as an Eagle Scout project by David Darrow, a member of Venturing Crew 73, Richardson, TX.  The transceiver is a Kenwood TS-440S and the antenna is a G5RV.  Several additional antennas are planned in the near future.
